Dr. David Heath joined the Katzen Eye Group in 2016. Dr. Heath earned Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and went on to become a Doctor of Optometry, graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1980. From there he went to complete his externships at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and at the Optometric Center of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Heath has spent his career as a primary care Optometrist focusing on general Optometry and Contact Lenses. He performs diagnostic testing for general eye disease, including glaucoma and cataracts. He is also TPA licensed and treats acute red eyes and other ocular urgencies that fall within his scope of practice.

Dr. Heath was born and raised in the Havre de Grace area and has been practicing optometry in that area for over 36 years. He is married, 40 years next summer, and has two grown children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, the beach, traveling and spending much of his free time with his six grandchildren.
